Who we are

By Imogen Thwaite · updated

Xmas Bonanza 2500 is a small independent guide to one game: Sweet Bonanza Xmas 2500 by Pragmatic Play. We are not a casino, we take no bets and we have no commercial relationship with the game's provider. The site exists for players who want to understand a slot properly before they spend money on it, and for the many people who only ever want to play the free demo.

Why a site about a single slot

Big review portals cover thousands of games, and their pages on new releases are often a paragraph of press release and a list of numbers. A seasonal slot like this one deserves a little more care, because most of the people searching for it will play it for a few weeks in December and want clear answers fast. Keeping to one title means we can test it thoroughly, keep every figure up to date and correct things the same day they change.

How we test a slot before release

We start with the official demo, because it is the only version of the game anyone outside the studio can play before launch. We play long sessions at fixed stakes, note how often the main feature arrives, and read the in-game paytable and rules screen from top to bottom. We do not claim to have played the real-money version before it exists, and we do not publish win statistics from our own sessions as if they were facts about the game. A few hundred spins are far too few for that.

Where our numbers come from

Every figure on this site, from the RTP to the release date, has to appear in at least two independent sources before we print it as fact. For this game those sources are Pragmatic Play's published release schedule, OLBG's game listing and SlotCatalog's database. When only one source gives a number, we say so in the sentence. When the sources disagree, we show both values and explain the difference rather than picking the more exciting one.

Who pays for this guide

Some buttons on the site are affiliate links. If you follow one and open an account at a casino, the operator may pay us a commission. That costs you nothing, and it never decides what we write: the score and the pros and cons are set before any link is placed, and we are happy to say when a game is just average. We only link to operators licensed by the Gambling Commission.

Corrections

Slots change after launch. Casinos switch RTP versions, studios patch features and the regulator updates its rules. We recheck every page against its sources after each change from the studio or the regulator, and at least once a month while the game is new. When we correct something, the updated date at the top of the page changes with it.
